You Are More Than a Conqueror: Seeing and Declaring Victory by Faith
A commander stands on a battlefield surrounded by enemy forces. His soldiers, terrified by the sheer size of the opposition, are ready to surrender. But the commander, with unwavering confidence, declares, "Victory is ours!" How could he speak with such certainty? He had a vantage point others lacked. From his perspective, reinforcements were already on the way, even though no one else could see them yet.
This is a picture of faith—not blind positivity, but the ability to see spiritual realities through the Spirit of God and declare them boldly. True faith involves seeing what God reveals, and only then speaking it into existence.
Seeing Comes Before Saying
In 2 Kings 6:15-17, the prophet Elisha’s servant panicked when he saw enemy forces surrounding them. But Elisha, calm and confident, responded:
"Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
Then Elisha prayed:
"Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see."
Immediately, the servant’s spiritual eyes were opened, and he saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding them. Elisha didn’t merely declare victory out of hope—he declared what he saw by the Spirit of God.
Similarly, in 1 Kings 18:41-46, the prophet Elijah said, "There is the sound of abundance of rain." How could Elijah speak so confidently about rain when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky? He had already heard it by the Spirit before anyone else could perceive it. His faith was based on what God revealed, not what his physical senses could detect.
Faith is Rooted in Revelation, Not Positivity
Mark 11:23-24 teaches us a principle about faith:
"For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says."
But this isn’t about saying something until it happens; it’s about seeing the mountain move by the Spirit and then declaring it with faith. Faith is not about claiming things blindly or speaking positively; it’s about aligning your words with what God has already shown you.
Faith sees, hears, and then speaks.
- Elisha saw the chariots of fire.
- Elijah heard the sound of rain.
- Jesus said what He saw His Father do (John 5:19).
You Are More Than a Conqueror
Romans 8:37 declares:
"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."
To live as more than a conqueror, you must first understand that victory has already been won in Christ. This victory becomes your reality when the Spirit opens your eyes to see it.
2 Corinthians 4:18 reminds us:
"While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
As more than a conqueror, your strength doesn’t come from what you see with your natural eyes but from what the Spirit reveals.
Faith is Not About Saying to Claim
Faith is not about saying, “I have it,” and hoping it will manifest. It is about seeing by the Spirit, aligning with God’s Word, and then speaking what has been revealed to you. Jesus did not speak to the fig tree in hope—it was already a spiritual reality that it would wither (Mark 11:12-14).
When facing your mountains:
- See by the Spirit: Yield to the Holy Spirit, who reveals God’s will and promises.
- Speak What You See: Declare only what aligns with what God has shown you.
- Walk in Boldness: Act in faith, knowing the outcome is already secured.
Walking in Victory by Faith
The mountains in your life—challenges, obstacles, and fears—won’t move just because you say so. They move because you see the power of God at work and declare what He has revealed.
Hebrews 11:1 says:
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Faith is seeing God’s provision, power, and promises as already accomplished in the spiritual realm.
Conclusion: Victory Through Spiritual Sight
You are more than a conqueror because Christ has already secured your victory. Faith is not about trying to claim something blindly; it’s about receiving revelation through the Spirit and boldly declaring what God has shown you.
Just as Elisha saw the chariots of fire and Elijah heard the sound of rain, you too can see your victory through the Spirit before you declare it. And when you speak what God has revealed, mountains will move, and victory will manifest.
Remember, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6). So, yield to the Spirit, see your victory, and walk in the reality of being more than a conqueror
